Chris

Chris was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He was raised in a Christian home, but strayed away from the Lord and turned to drugs and alcohol when he was around 14. At the age of 20, Chris found himself turning to heroin. He was a heroin addict for roughly 4 years until he entered the life changing program Adult and Teen Challenge in 2015 at the age of 24. In the program, Chris learned what it really looked like to be a follower of Jesus. He rededicated his life to Jesus and never went back to drugs.
After completing the program, Chris did a year long internship for Teen Challenge in Wasilla, Alaska. He worked as an intern there for a year until he took a full time position working for Adult and Teen challenge of the Smokies in 2017. This brought Chris to Franklin.
A few years ago, Chris joined the leadership team at Celebrate recovery when it was launched here at Discover church. He was on the leadership team for a couple of years until his wife Caoline and him took over as the directors in April of 2021. Chris loves being a part of Discover church and especially being a part of Celebrate Recovery. Chris now celebrates recovery from pornography and is working on lots of other areas that God is sifting through in his life through this amazing program.
In his free time, Chris enjoys playing pick-up basketball with friends, and  playing video games. Chris is an electrician in his full time career and is currently working on getting his NC electrical license.
